Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is a revolutionary method using bilateral stimulation of the left and right hemispheres of the brain. It is a comprehensive, integrated approach that leads to new insights, positive emotions and the development of new skills.
An offshoot of EMDR, brainspotting allows for a profound processing and release of emotional and body conditions. This process occurs while gazing at a “brainspot” or eye position that connects to the source of the distress in the deep brain. Brainspotting can be integrated with other therapeutic techniques with amazing results. I combine the eye-gazing with the ancient wisdom tradition approaches for healing – Taoist energy work, internal Tibetan shamanic techniques and Dzogchen mindfulness to name a few.
